Can I enroll in and complete multiple programs?
Undergraduate students can enroll in and complete multiple programs including cross-course programs in the bachelor’s course.
Master’s course students can enroll in and complete multiple master’s course programs within the graduate school they are enrolled in. (There are no multiple programs in the master’s course in FY2025.) They cannot enroll in other graduate schools’ programs. There are no programs available for students enrolled in the doctoral program or the professional degree program in FY2025. Please check the available programs on the back side of the leaflet.

What is a disaster prevention specialist?
Disaster Prevention Specialists are key players in enhancing disaster resilience in communities to minimize damage from disasters. By earning the credits for “Introduction to Disaster Prevention and Revitalization A” and “Introduction to Disaster Prevention and Revitalization B”(common education subject and free selection subject), you will be eligible to take the exam for Disaster Prevention Specialist (certified by the Japan Bousaisi Organization). 共通教育科目自由履修科目「防災学入門」の単位修得により、防災士の受験資格を得ることはできますか。
You will be eligible to take the exam for a Disaster Prevention Specialist by earning the credits of “Introduction to Disaster Prevention” (common education subject and free selection subject). Check the syllabus for details. You may substitute “Introduction to Disaster Prevention” (2 credits), for which you have already earned credits, in place of the required courses “Introduction to Disaster Prevention and Revitalization A” and “Introduction to Disaster Prevention and Revitalization B” in the special program for disaster prevention and revitalization.
Is it necessary for students (including high school students) to retake subjects they already obtained credits for before admission?
No, it is not necessary to retake the subjects. If a student (including high school students) has already earned the credits, they can apply for recognition of credits obtained before admission.
Is it possible to use the credits for “Introduction to Disaster Prevention and Revitalization A” and “Introduction to Disaster Prevention and Revitalization B” taken in the bachelor’s program for the master’s program?
Yes, it is. If there are subjects that you already obtained the credits for, please inform the program administration staff of the graduate school.
Are “Introduction to Disaster Prevention and Revitalization A” and “Introduction to Disaster Prevention Disaster Prevention and Revitalization B” included in the CAP (Maximum number of credits that can be registered for each semester or quarter)?
“Introduction to Disaster Prevention and Revitalization A” and “Introduction to Disaster Prevention and Revitalization B” are not counted towards the CAP when offered as intensive lectures.
